Lordy Lordy look whose 40!!

And a celebration it was! I believe that it is safe to say that Kenton had a memorable 40th birthday!

We kicked off the birthday celebration with steaks at home with the Gallatis.
Griffin COULD NOT wait to wake Daddy up with his gift! Luckily I was able to hold back Griffin and Roman until 8am so Kenton was able to catch up on some much needed sleep!
What a way to start the first day of a new decade. Snuggling in bed with your precious children who came in bearing gifts. Sweet!
Next up~ birthday breakfast! Yummy breakfast pizza accompanied with candles and ANOTHER round of "Happy birthday to you..."
Followed by a homemade card to Daddy
from his boys.
All of this excitement and the day has just begun! What's next on the agenda? Our bags are packed and only I knew the destination!
Kenton and I loaded up the car and headed out towards the French Quarter for a night out~ just the two of us. Every once in a while it is really nice to go out as "Andrea and Kenton" and not "Griffin and Roman's Mommy and Daddy!"

I love this picture. We were walking around the french quarter and looked up and saw a rainbow for no apparent reason? I believe an unexplained rainbow on your birthday is a sign of a great year to come!

Just another reason to love NOLA!
Here we are standing where we said "I do" 4.5 years ago. On this very spot we sealed the deal with a kiss and the start of our happily ever after. We can't walk by without stopping to remember that special moment with another kiss and a picture!
Hummm..... where will we spend the night? This looks like a cozy little spot to rest our heads!
Gotta love the Ritz. They sure know how to make you feel special!
All dressed for the evening. Where shall we go? How about a Christmas concert at the St. Louis Cathedral.
Now off to fill our bellies at Mona Lisa. Perfect little quaint spot to enjoy an Italian meal and conversation just the 2 of us...
Pretty smiles and full bellies...
Strolling hand in hand down the streets of the French Quarter. Nola~ one of the most romantic cities in the world. One thing I forgot to investigate was the weather. Burr..... it was cold!
Enjoying the beautiful sights at the Roosevelt Hotel.
And finished the night off with one of our favorite things to do. Dessert at NOLA... Happy Birthday Satch! Glad that I was able to share your special day with you! I had such a fun time and didn't actually have to turn "40!"

Kenton making 40 look pretty darn good!
