Why can't everyday be Sunday?

Sunday is the best day of the week for so many reasons. This morning Kenton and I took our monthly turn in the Church nursery. It is always so much fun hanging out with the kiddos. There is nothing like singing, dancing, and playing games with Griffin and his buddies. I made up a game that involved sharing that surprisingly enough lasted a good 30 minutes. Every time we finished little Natalie would chime in with "one more time"! Too cute... Once home while Daddy took care of the yard Griffin and I enjoyed the afternoon in his playroom. His push car that he received from Nanny Bev for his birthday is his partner in crime. He rolls it around the room and uses it to stand on to get into trouble. I truly enjoy these special times that I share with my baby. Griffin then went outside with Daddy to help him BBQ. I honestly don't know why we need a house. If it were up to Al Dog and Griffin we would all just live outside. Thanks to Kenton for preparing a wonderful meal. Now that Griffin is in bed we will enjoy our last few hours of Sunday because we all know what tomorrow is....

13 month update

I must say that this was not our best month. We all knew that once Griffin started daycare that he would get a "little" sick. Well... he has pretty much been sick for the past month. Just as we think that the coast is clear something else pops up. I guess our little guy lived in the bubble that we provided for him his first year and kept all of the nasty germs away. Folks our bubble has been popped! We now have 2 ear infections, viral and bacterial infections, days of high fevers, and a crazy looking rash under our belt. Mommy is dealing with her vomit fear as I have been covered in it once or twice. On the positive side Griffin has been a trooper through it all. He wants to feel better and play again. He has been so loving and sweet. We have all gotten so many tight hugs and cozy cuddling sessions. I know that he had to be exposed to the world at some point, but it hurts to see my baby in pain. Such a sweet boy...

He is risen!

Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice for us. Because of You we are alive! Griffin can get to like this Easter Bunny guy. He noticed his loot in the living room and kept peeking over to see what was going on. How much fun to experience this special occasion through the eyes of a child...

Ready... Set... Go!

Yesterday we took Griffin to his first Easter egg hunt. Our Church invited us to participate in this special event. We were so happy that Griffin was feeling up to the task. He had a ball collecting a few of his own eggs and "borrowing" some from the other children.

Spring-time in NOLA

This is our favorite time of year in New Orleans. This afternoon we went to 2 street festivals in the city. The first was the Freret Street Festival and the 2nd an art market in Algiers. Kenton told me that the weather today reminded him so much of our wedding day which was coincidentally 3 years ago on Wednesday! We strolled Griffin around and he loved every minute of it. As a matter of fact we didn't hear a peep out of him. He just kicked his feet up in his stroller and enjoyed the ride. What a perfect day!
