Sweet summertime...

A few weeks ago we took the boys to Grand Isle for the day.

This brought back so many childhood memories for me.

I spent many days playing, swimming, and crabbing on that beach.

We had a lovely time.

Griff is fearless and spent the day in the surf.

Roman enjoyed making sand castles on the beach.

Cohen was totally content sitting on my lap in the water and feel asleep listing to the waves crash along the shore.  

Oh how I love making precious memories with my family.

The Grand, Point Clear, Al 2013 {3}

The resort is on the bay and has a nice little beach.  I love going on "beach" trip, but am not a huge fan of the beach.  If you know what I mean.  Griff on the other hand LOVES the beach.  Roman likes the beach.  Cohen wanted absolutely nothing to do with the sand.  Kenton was able to spend beach time with Griff while I swam at the pool with the other boys.

As I have stated the ground of The Grand are beautiful.  This is our 4th trip to this paradise.  Last year we stayed in the main building.  We loved the old charm that we found in our room.  It was like a real life doll house.  This year we requested to stay in the main building again with a king bed.  The big boys sleep in a tent on the floor at home anyway.  We brought them sleeping bags to make them feel at home.  :)

Kenton checked in and came back to the van with the biggest grin on his face.  He said you will not believe our room.  This year we had the good fortune to be put into a suite.  It was just perfect and totally unexpected!  One room had a sofa bed for the big boys.  This room was all windows facing the bay.  The other room had a king sized bed.  Win all the way around!

The Grand, Point Clear, Al 2013 {1}

We went on our family vacation (or properly called a "trip due to limited relaxation) to our favorite spot, The Grand in Point Clear, Al.  This place is just perfect for our age and stage in life.  The kids love it and we do too!  The grounds are beautiful.  It is filled with such southern charm and so much to do.  Pools, a play ground, a beach, bikes, fishing, boating, and mini golf.  As always a good time was had by all...
