My little music man

Roman loves music.
I mean really loves music.

He picks up songs quickly and you can hear him singing around the house.
His current favorite songs are:
Amazing Grace, You never let go, and Glory to God.
This boy sings his little heart out.

He often walks around the house, strums his guitar,
and makes up songs.
Trust me when I say that he sings with much expression.

He is also quite a fan of live music.
He often sneaks into big church with us to listen to the band.
He also loves to go visit grand-ma at the assisted living facility when the band plays.

I pray that he continues to love music and eventually learns to play an instrument.
He often tells me out of the blue that he loves horns and the drums.
I so enjoy watching this boy grow.
I can't wait to see who he becomes.
It has been laid on my heart that he is destined for greatness.
"He is a good boy and will do great things in this world."

One of my favorite all time pictures of him.

Here he is singing his little heart out.
I have visions of him becoming a tattooed worship leader.
Only time will tell!

Dudes night out

Kenton took the big boys out for a dudes night out.
Pizza, basketball, snacks, games, oh my!

They stopped into their favorite pizza place.
Brooklyn Pizza
Griff looks pretty comfy between the dancing girls.

Go Pelicans!
After the game the boys went on the court to take a shot.
Air Roman!
Walking off the court with a little swag...

Kenton is such a great husband and father.
I adore this man and the boys do too.
We so blessed to call this man husband and daddy.
love you Satch!

Ringing in 2014

New Year's Eve did not go as planned.
The weather was blah.
Kenton had to stay late at work.
The baby had a snotty nose.
Blah. Blah. Blah.

All of the above forces made us decide to stay home for the evening.
After my shower the boys busted into the bathroom with our entire evening planned for us.
What a fun surprise.

Griffin had a list written out of our activities and all of the supplies laid out.
They made me close my eyes and led me into the living room.

We ate smores at the fire.
Played "Griffin" says.
Roman led us in Amazing Grace.
Griff read us a story
and we had to draw a picture of Griffin.
The evening was topped off with me spinning my babies around the living room.
Can't really think of a better way to close out 2013.

Cheers y'all!

Roman inviting me to the evening that they planned for us.
Best surprise EVER!
Griff reading us a story at the "campfire."
Roman leading Amazing Grace.
I was surrounded by my favorite people,
singing Jesus songs with all of their hearts.
I had a moment.
Life doesn't get much better than this very moment...
Dancing with my boys.
Twirling around the room.
Getting in my last kisses of 2013.

Christmas Day 2013

Christmas day was nice and relaxing.
We woke up with the boys and enjoyed watching them find their gifts from Santa.

For lunch we headed out to my great aunt's house.
OMG the food was amazing.
The boys had fun and we all did too!

Once home we had a lazy afternoon.
We eventually opened family gifts.

When we asked Griffin which gift was his favorite.
His answer was "all of them."
It is so fun to give to a child who really loves everything that he receives.
I pray that this quality stays with him in life.

I didn't take many photos, but the ones that I have I really love...

Santa left a letter for the boys.
slurp...
Cuddling with my boy that first called me momma...
Doesn't this look like a fun bunch?!?
Roman and Satch.
Gah....
Satch and Cohen
Thinking back on Christmas 2013 I have such sweet, sweet memories...

Christmas Eve 2013

This year was my favorite Christmas ever.
We had a great time with Live.Give.Love. leading into the main event.
The birth of Jesus Christ.

We had some of our extended family over on Christmas Eve.
What started out as an ordinary night turned into so much more.

We were paid a very special visit by Santa Clause.
The kids had so much fun!
It is so fun to experience Christmas through the eyes of the child!

After Santa left Griffin took over the evening.
He had a song list written for all to sing.
He led Christmas carols and we all joined in.
How can you not smile and have a good time right?

We rounded out the night with our Christmas Eve tradition.

(and a little help from Griffin too)

Here is a few highlights of our evening:

What a special guest at the front door.
Santa!!!

Look at their smiles.
Such JOY!

So one person wasn't thrilled to see the guy in the red suit.
Cohen...

Our family with Santa.
Santa had to run.
He had a night full of stops and we are thankful we were one of them!
Such a magical moment...

After our guests left the boys slipped into their Christmas jammies.
They set out cookies and milk for Santa.
They also said their final good byes to Lefty as he was catching
a ride back to the North Pole with Santa.

This Christmas eve will be very hard to top.
Merry Christmas to all...
and to all a good night!
