Last year we had our first boys only North Pole party. It was so much fun we tried it again this year with a brand new crop of elves. This year the boys invited neighborhood kids and classmates. It was so much fun to have these boys experience the evening through new eyes. This evening may be my favorite day of the year!
The weather really ugly. The night before the party we decided to move the entire party inside. When I planned this party in my head I never intended to have 20 sugared up wild boys in our house. Yikes right? Needless to say things worked out just perfectly. The evening before I exchanged the outside scavenger for indoor reindeer games. Things worked out just perfectly!

Once the guest arrived we gathered in the living room. At this point my worker elf Griffin handed out elf hats to all of our guests. I love how my boys loves to entertain. He is such a gracious little host and always takes care of his guests.

The previous night Lefty the elf left a letter addressed to Griffin, Roman, Cohen and friends with instructions to open at the North Pole party. The boys opened the envelope and found a letter inside.

MiMi Kat sat down with the boys to read a Christmas story. As she was reading there was quite a stir...
The boys noticed a strange sight at the front door. This caused quite a stir!!
This curious little elf was peeking in the front door. The boys ran out the door and chased the elf down. Just like that the elf vanished never to be seen again. Well... almost.... He was spotted once more in the back yard through the back windows.
Eventually we rounded up all of the boys back into the house. They were wild. They all had versions of what just happened. It took a few minutes to regain control and resume story time.

Here we are back in and settled to continue the story. From this point forward the boys kept an eye on the door in hopes that the elf would return. Roman kept watch of the door.

Following story time we played some reindeer games:
1. Build a snowman. The boys broke into pairs and made a snowman out of toilet paper.
2. Snowball fight- the boys sat across from each other and tossed a marshmallow into a cup.
3. Empty the sleigh (junk in the trunk) - We attached an empty box to the boys waist. We placed 3 ping pong balls inside. The boys had to get the balls out without using their hands.

4. Face the cookie- the boys put a cookie on their forehead and had to get to their mouth without using their hands. Disclaimer- this is hard!
5. Rudolph the red nosed reindeer- I applied Vaseline to the boys noses. They then were given a red pom pom on a string. They swing the string to get the red pom pom on their nose. Fun!
After the workout from the reindeer games the boys went over to the cookie table to decorate sugar cookies.

We passed out cookies and got the boys nice and sugared up! I mean it was dinnertime...

The final thing that we did was made jars of reindeer food. The boys took home their jar of food to sprinkle on the lawn for Christmas eve. Roman's jar consisted of M&Ms and pretzels. Why? Because that is what he likes!

I really love to entertain in our home. Our boys love to have friends over to celebrate any occasion! This party takes a little planning and preparation. Every single second of my time is well spent. I am paid in BIG smiles, belly laughs, and thank you mommas. It is the most wonderful time of the year...
