1st day of school 2013

The first day of school was filled with so much excitement at your house.  Griff was so happy to start kindergarten.  I was bursting with joy for my big boy.  I was not sad or teary.  I was beaming with pride.  This is one of those moments that could have gone either way.  I am so happy that I chose joy.  We, as parents, pour so much into our children preparing them to go out into the big world.  Look out world here comes Griffin!  Shine bright my sweet boy!  We are so proud of this boy.  I pray that he always keeps his deep desire to learn.

Kindergarten here I come!
Roman will be attending school with Miss Deb again this year.  She does such a wonderful joy with Roman.  He is learning, growing, and socializing very well.  Roman's conversational skills are quite impressive.  Expect big things from this guy!

Cohen also started going to his sitter this morning too.  Rotten egg will have a bit of an adjustment period!

Here is everyone loaded up and ready to go in the magic van.  We had every intention of Griffin catching the bus.  We were outside waiting and watched the bus pass on by.  Oh well, I secretly enjoyed dropping off my boys on the first day of school.  Griff loves the carpool line.  He gets so much attention.  All of the teachers come over and gush over Griff and his baby brothers.  It was wonderful to see all of these smiling faces waiting to love on my little guys!

I filled out a "favorite things" sheet for Roman and Griffin.  I loved their answers.  So unique to each of their personalities.  I love to see their little minds in action!

Farewell summer...

And just like that summer is over.
I expected to scale back in the summer.
Have some down time and recharge our batteries after the daily hustle of the school year.

Summer did not turn out as I envisioned.
Our schedule stayed pretty full and it was anything but laid back!

Such is life...

We had fun, ate snowballs, swam, mini vacationed, lived off of our usual schedule, had a few incidents that involved blood, and blew off school work.

On the boys last official day of summer I took them to the new playground to enjoy the last few moments of unscheduled freedom.
The boys really enjoyed the park, especially baby long legs.
Big boys tried to protect baby brother.
Baby brother wanted to know who are you calling "baby?!?"

Their smiles and belly laughs light up my world.

Brother sandwich!
Keeps up with the big boys every step of the way.  (except that baby long legs doesn't
exactly walk yet!)
Oh how I adore that smile!
5 years in the blink of an eye.  This guy is starting Kindergarten.  EEKK!

**I took a blogging break during the summer.  Now that school is back in I plan to resume my regular blogging routine.  A goal of at least 1 post a week**
