Momma Birthday Fest 2012- 2

I have the best husband.
I REALLY do...

When I got home from dinner with friends
Satch had the red place mat set and the house decorated for the morning.

I love how he takes care of me.

Red place mat set for the birthday princess.

Here we are enjoying our traditional birthday breakfast as a family.
I am making a wish before I blow out the candles.
A girl can dream...

Once we got home and had dinner we celebrated once again over cupcakes.

Birthday gift from my boys.

Thanks to my family and friends for making my day so special.
Y'all sure know how to make an "old girl" feel loved!

Momma Birthday Fest 2012- 1

On Tuesday night I had plans with my friend Cristina.
Here was the plan.
She was picking me up for dinner.
What she forgot to tell mention to was that we would be joined by 9 other of my favorite ladies.
Needless to say I was very surprised
and greatly humbled that they all took time out of their busy schedules to celebrate me.

I had such a great evening with all of these girls.
Each one of them is such a blessing in my life!

This is the party that I happened upon.
It just so happened to be for me.
Very cool...
I was also surprised with some adorable baby goodies.
I adore these newborn hats made by Erin.
Which one will we use?!?
Who Dat baby. (thanks Brittany)

Now a party would NOT be complete without 'staches.
Seems that we are all suckers for the 'stache.

Thanks girls for such a fun night.
Very sneaky and I love it!
This year is already off to a great start!

Can I be a cowboy...

We made the trip back down the bayou yesterday
for an afternoon of horse back riding at Mr. Al's farm.

Yesterday morning I told Griff that we were going on a trip when I picked him up in the afternoon.
He was SO excited about the trip.
He told his teacher and another parent that he was leaving for a trip.
His teacher said,
"where are you going Griff?  Disney World?  The Beach?"
I replied... "Cut Off, LA!"

When I picked him up he was chatting up a storm about our trip.
He was telling Roman about what we needed to pack.
He planned to bring along a jacket and an umbrella just in case.  :)

Once home he started to pack a bag.
He threw in some diaper rash cream for Roman and a Power Ranger for himself.
I had to hold him back from packing his tooth brush and a drawer full of clothes.

It was really cute to see his excitement.

Once Kenton got home we revealed where we were heading.
He could not wait to get back to the farm.

Once we arrived they had several folks riding horses.
They asked if Griff would like to ride too.
The rest was history...

I love the smile on his face.
Griff giving Lilly some love.
Baby Bear and Kenton.

Baby Bear warming up to the horses.
After a little convincing Kenton got
Baby Bear into the saddle for a minute.
Taking a break to check out the tractors.
Griff went back out and rode with Mr. Al's grand daughter.
They rode for about 45 minutes.
It is always so much more fun to ride with a partner.

Momma and Baby Bear watching Griff ride.
After they finished riding horses we toured
the property.
We also headed over to the pool for dinner and a swim.

We are so proud of Griff.
Not so long ago he would run when we tried to get him on a pony.
Today, he wants to be a cowboy.

Dream BIG my boy...

Mr. Al's Farm

Last weekend MiMi and Big Poppa took the boys down the bayou for the afternoon.
They made several stops along the way.
They visited with family, picked up an ice chest of shrimp, and made a visit to Mr. Al's Farm.

Mr. Al has been a family friend my entire life.
I have first memories of his family  all the way back to when I was a little girl.
He and Big Poppa still  enjoy spending time together.

Needless to say the boys had a ball.
Griff enjoyed the horses while  Roman loved the chickens.

Thankfully MiMi and Pop took pictures
so I was able to see my little boys and the fun time that they had!

Checking the chicken coop for eggs.
The boys were able to gather 2 fresh eggs.
They thought it was pretty cool.

Mr. Al took them to tour the property.

Griff and Mr. Al.

Thanks to Mr. Al for letting my family enjoy your farm.
They had a ball!
MiMi said Griff tried to text Mr. Al on the way home to tell him how much fun he had...

Mother's Day 2012

When you open your eyes to breakfast in bed delivered to you by these little cuties
your day is bound to be a good one!

Breakfast in bed and lots of hugs and kisses.
Yes PLEASE!

Mother's Day plant from Griffin.

We went to church this morning.
MiMi and Big Poppa joined us.

After church we had a delicious lunch at home.
Tio John and Erika also came over to celebrate Mother's day with us.

These boys were born with a camera in their face.
Yet it is still a struggle to get them to cooperate for pictures.
The good news?
I prefer candid shots!

Somehow with lots of resistance
we still manage to get some fun pictures.

Brace yourself for lots of cute pics of my kids.
Don't say I didn't warn you...

OH SO HANDSOME!

In case you are wondering why Roman is giving you the stank eye?
He wanted no part of these pictures.
He wanted to cut the grass instead.

Me and my 3 children.
Hard to wrap my brain around this.
I am so blessed...

Not enthused, but still cute!
My babies...

To kick it up a notch we added another person.
MiMi!

Griff gave his card to MiMi.

He is so proud of his work.
Baby Bear still not wanting to participate.

A celebration would not be complete without....
PARTY HATS!
I found the energy to bake a delicious cake.
I didn't have the energy to make it beautiful.
Taste made up for appearance!

Happy Mother's Day MiMi.
We enjoyed sharing the day with you.
