Kenton's Graduation

The big day FINALLY arrived.
Kenton's graduation from graduate school.
He has been working on his executive MBA for the past 19 months.

Honestly it was the longest and shortest season in my life.
As we were "living" it, time seemed to go on forever.
Now that it is over it seems just like the blink of an eye.

When he started the program we had a 2.5 year old and an infant.
19 months later we have a 4 year old, 2 year old, and weeks away from another addition.
Wow...

As we were driving to his graduation I said to Kenton,
"did we REALLY just do this?!"
Truly it was a lofty goal for a crazy season of our lives.

I am so proud of my husband.
I don't have words to put to my feelings.
He gave this chapter of his life 110%.

He was dedicated to his family, full time job, and full time school.
Can you imagine executing on so many levels?

He never once complained about the load being too heavy.

He endured the season with a positive attitude an undying level of dedication.

Living "behind the scenes" is what makes this graduation day so very special.
I saw the hard work that went into this Master Degree.

He worked so hard.
He earned it.

20 years out of college he went back with a goal and completed it.
With a 3.8 GPA.

Congratulations Kenton.
I am so proud of you!

Poppa, MiMi and the boys.

MiMi , Baby Bear, Griff, and Mommy.

I was extremely a little nervous about the
boys sitting quietly through a graduation ceremony.
I went in ARMED with bags full of goodies.

I got there early to secure our seats.  I was hoping to locate
closest to the nearest exit!  I picked front row seats so the
boys would have a little wiggle room.
Here is Baby Bear munching on snacks and playing
with new tractors in front of our seats.

Graduation 2 year old style.

Graduation 4 year old style.

My guy walking up to accept his diploma.

Griff waiting to cheer on his Daddy!
We practiced all week.

It's official...
Kenton, MBA!

This is one of those life moments.
HE DID IT!

The boys congratulating their hero.

Practicing for the future.

Love this smile!

Beyond sweet...

After graduation MiMi and Pop took the boys home.
Kenton and I took advantage
and enjoyed a great meal at Cristiano's.
Cheers to my husband!
Final surprise of the day?
A new Ipad!

 Congratulations Kenton!
I am so proud of you and all of your accomplishments.
Thank you for being such a wonderful role model to our children.
You are truly a gentleman and a scholar....

Roman "2" Cupcakes and candles

Now for the MAIN EVENT!
Cupcakes and candles...

Once everyone got home we all put on our party hats
to eat cake with the birthday boy.

The handsome boys in my life.

All ready to sing "happy birthday" to the birthday boy.

I could just eat him up!
He was so excited to sing and blow out the candles.
He now calls cupcakes "happy"
as in "happy birthday to you."
:)

Happy birthday to you...
Happy birthday to you...
Happy birthday dear ROMAN!!
Happy birthday to you.
Make a wish and
dream BIG my baby...

Griff made this card for his brother.
So sweet!

Roman,
We all enjoyed every moment of celebrating your 2nd birthday with you.
Griff said it was your best birthday ever.
We love you big like the sky and look forward to what this year brings!
All my love,
Mommy

Roman "2" Zoo with Mommy

I took Roman to the Zoo to celebrate his special day.
I had some guilt leaving Griff behind,
but I really looked forward to a 1-on-1 day with Baby Bear.

Roman loves trains, tractors, and trucks right now.
I couldn't wait to take him for a ride on the train at the zoo.

He loves animals, but was more into people watching.
He spent the morning people watching instead of animal watching.
He had a ball!

Me and my FAVORITE 2 year old!

Ready for the train ride.

Do you think he was slightly excited?
I love the look of pure joy on his face!

Such a big boy.

After we got off the train we headed to the play ground.
He observed all of the big kids and wanted to do exactly as they did.
Yes, 2 is bigger than 1, but...
NOT THAT BIG!

I so love this little boy and was happy to spend a day at the zoo with him.
Just the two of us.
Nothing pleases me more than to see my baby have the time of his life!

Happy birthday Baby Bear!!

Roman "2" Birthday Breakfast

I knew that April 27th was coming,
but I was not prepared for the way that it would make me feel.
I was a bit sad while decorating for Roman's birthday breakfast.

"2" just sounds so much older than "1."

I decided to embrace the day and celebrate it with my favorite 2 year old
ALL. DAY. LONG.

The red place mat was set and waiting for the birthday boy to wake up!

Baby Bear ready to open his gift.

Big brother couldn't help, but to assist little brother!

Oh my goodness...
I love this little boy!
He was so excited to celebrate his day.

My favorite 2 year old!

Griff helping Baby Bear celebrate his day.

Happy birthday to you...

Happy birthday to you...

Happy birthday dear ROMAN...
Happy birthday to you!

Make a wish and dream BIG my baby!

Playing with his new "trac-tor."
