Griffin is the ultimate crossing guard. Several posts back I wrote about how I thought that Griffin would be in some type of "enforcement" when he grew up. I was so right on the money. This afternoon we were walking over to a neighbor's house. Our neighborhood is new so all of the sidewalks do not connect. In order to get to the neighbor's house we had to walk on the street for a bit. Kenton was walking ahead of us and stepped onto the street. Griffin had a total meltdown. He was yelling at his Daddy at the top of his lungs telling him to get out of the street! Everyday while outside we constantly turn Griffin around and tell him that he can not go into the street. Apparently he listened! He was watching us all VERY closely to make sure that none of us walked onto the street. Needless to say like little ducks we all walked to the neighbor's house on the grass.
A little later Griffin was in the front yard with MiMi Kat and Big Al. Al crossed the street to a vacant lot to potty. Griffin LOST IT! I was sitting in the back yard and heard the commotion. MiMi Kat said that Griffin was bent over and yelling so hard that he was trembling. We are so proud of our little rule follower! He is a true believer in "safety first!"
