God bless America...

This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave. ~Elmer Davis

As luck (and A LOT of hard work) would have it our new arbor is in place and our concrete slab has been poured. At the last minute we invited a few friends over to share our beautiful view of the firework display that takes place every year on on the river. It really is quite a firework extravaganza. We were familiar with the event because last year we watched the fireworks on our back patio LOCKED out of our brand new home. (1 year later it is a funny story to tell) As we all know Griffin loves a party. He was such the little host sharing his toys and playing with his friends. I knew that it wouldn't take long for the kids to find the pile of sand that we still have in the yard. The twins, Ryan and Paul, were rolling down the sand pile! Needless to say the kids were a hot and sleepy mess by the end of the night. All of the kids stayed up well past their bedtime and I am proud to say that we did not have a single melt down. We are so fortunate to live in the greatest country in the world! Let us never take our freedom for granted.
