I can't believe we have been loving on Roman for an entire month. I am trying to hard to savor every single moment with my little Romeo. As an "experienced" mother I know how quickly the time flies and how easily it is to get wrapped up in life and forget about the little things, the important things. I am proud to say that Roman is 100% spoiled rotten. All of my strict parenting "rules" have been thrown out the window the second time around. Somehow this little peanut suckered me into letting him sleep in our bed on one of our first nights home. This is something that big brother still has not accomplished! Roman loves to be held tight. Actually, now that I think about it Roman just really loves to be held. His favorite position is in my arms nestled in my neck. Truly, as a mother this is the best feeling in the world. I love to hold him tight and listen to him breathe softly into my ear. Sweet and precious moments...
Roman is feeding about every 2-3 hours. This baby goes from sleeping to STARVING in the blink of an eye. Yes, I am having plenty of sleepless nights, but I know that this too shall pass. Honestly, I don't think that anyone every gets used to interrupted sleep. Because of Roman's infinity for the breast he is gaining weight at a rapid pace. He gained over 2 lbs in three weeks. We go in tomorrow for his 1 month wellness visit. I am not looking forward to shots, but I am looking forward to seeing his progress on the growth chart.
It is so exciting to experience everything being a "first" with Roman. I love this child with all that I am and I am so blessed to be his Mommy....
